HalloweenCostumes.com review!

HalloweenCostumes.com sent me an adorable T-Rex costume for Brayden. They actually have quite a few dinosaur costumes to choose from. I just liked this one best. Brayden loves dinosaurs. He's even having a dinosaur birthday party next month. I got the costume in size large 2T-4T. It's just a little baggy on him. I thought it would be really baggy since it goes up to 4T. He loves the costume but right now he wears all the pieces separately. Haha. He'll put the dino head on or the gloves or want the body suit on. HalloweenCostumes.com has a HUGE variety of costumes for all ages. I LOVE their toddler costumes! *Swoon*

What I like about the costume: It's really cute. I love the eyes and teeth on the costume. It's light so it's perfect for October in North Florida/South Georgia. It's soft and seems comfortable. The price is great at $25.99. Best of all, Brayden likes it. He picks it up, hands it to me and ROARS when he wants to wear it.

What I don't like about the costume: Brayden was playing with it and the tail ripped open.  I think it was overstuffed. :( I can hand sew it easily so it's not a big deal. Also, I love the look of the gloves but I'm not sure how well he will be able to grab candy. I guess most people put them in the bag for your kid though, right? At his age though he might  drop the bag/bucket because he can't get a good grip on it. Older kids shouldn't have an issue with that though.
(Stock photo)
Lol. He was upset that he couldn't see the tail very well.
Gloves!
Really happy about his costume.

Rock Bottom T-shirts review and $50 giveaway!

I found an amazing website that has the perfect basics for everyone's wardrobe. It's called Rock Bottom T-shirts. All of their toddler clothes are less than $10 a piece! They also have clothes for women, men, juniors, dogs, and babies.

Brayden has a lot of plaid or loud shorts that have either been given to us or I bought them from a thrift store. It's not always easy to find shirts that match those pants/shorts. I was really excited when I found this website. They have the cutest basic clothes. I received multiple sizes of the Toddler Organic T-shirt and the Toddler Polo Shirt. They are extremely affordable at $6.29 and $7.49. They sent 2T, 3T and 4T shirts in different colors. I love them! They match his clothes perfectly, look great on him, they are very soft and seem very durable. The only downfall to the clothes is when I washed them the polos shrunk a little. The tees didn't seem to but the size 2 polos became shorter. Could have been that my dryer was too hot. Brayden has a long torso so I may have to save those for his future little brother. Not a big deal though. Lincoln is getting all of Brayden's clothes anyway.

Here are some pictures of Brayden's cute new shirts:
 Shirts in size 2, 3 and 4.
His size 2 white polo with a pair of thrift store shorts.

It matches perfectly like they belong together! (This was after the shirt shrunk so it looks shorter.)
A cream colored shirt that matches all Brayden's basics. :)

You can find them on FacebookTwitter and Wordpress.

Rock Bottom T-shirts wants to give one of my lucky readers a $50 gift card to their website! With their great prices you can get a ton of stuff!
(Don't lie, please. Only fill out the things you actually did. The winning entry will be checked.)

Copy Kids review!

We got to review an awesome DVD called Copy Kids. Copy-Kids Eat Fruits and Vegetables is the debut DVD in a series designed to encourage healthy habits in young children. This series is for children aged six months to 5 years.

Copy Kids Eat Fruit and Vegetables is divided into 12 chapters, each focusing on a different fruit or vegetable. The yummy veggies and fruits include: Bell Peppers, Cucumbers, Carrots, Avocado, Tomatoes, Broccoli, Oranges, Bananas, Raspberries, Strawberries, Apples & Blueberries.

The genesis for the project came when Cai Dixon noticed her young daughter was more willing to try new fruits and vegetables when she saw another child eating them. Bella liked to copy. Dixon wondered if the experience had to be live, or if a video of children eating fruits and vegetables would also work? “It did, and not just with Bella,” recalls Dixon. And so a concept was born: Find children who LOVE to eat fruits and veggies, film them eating them – and make the video available to parents. It’s that simple. Says Dixon, “I never would have expected my child to eat raw broccoli – but she demanded it as soon as she saw another child eating it on TV. Now it is one of her favorite vegetables.” Copy-Kids is an award winning DVD.  They have won three children's excellence awards: Dr. Toy MACT, and Parent Tested, Parent Approved. They are also approved by the USDA and were added to their Education and Training Materials Database for Pre-school nutrition. You can buy this awesome DVD for $19.95 on their website.

My husband is an extremely picky eater so I figured Brayden would be the same way. I was right to assume that. He will NOT eat something he doesn't like and tends to lean towards things that aren't super nutritious for him. Brayden is becoming more adventurous with his eating as he gets older and he definitely does copy other kids when it comes to eating. I have always tried to get him to eat fruit and veggies. Most of the time it's been a huge fail. Around a month ago Brayden and my friend's little boy Tyler were eating lunch together. I didn't put grapes on his plate because I have tried many times and he never ate them. He watched Tyler eat them. He started taking them off his plate to eat them. I was baffled. So, now we have to have grapes in our fridge at all times.

Brayden loved the video. He was trying to name the fruits and veggies that he knows. What I like best is the face to face time with each kid in the video as they eat the vegetables/fruits. The only real problem  I found is with the DVD's navigation. I wish it had a "play all" like most DVDs do. Each segment with each child isn't very long so that's a lot of pressing "play". Maybe they can fix that with their next DVD. Other than that though we love the DVD. I think it will help Brayden try other fruits/veggies the older he gets.

You can find them on FacebookTwitter
Pinterest, and YouTube.

25 weeks pregnant!

I have finally gained weight (5 pounds this month) so my doctors are happy. Haha. I had to take the gross GD test. :/ Hopefully I pass this time and don't have to take the 3 hour one. I should find out in a couple days. Lincoln kicked the Doppler twice when the midwife was checking his heartbeat. So cute! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going. I already have to start going every 2 weeks. WOW. I am just shocked. I am still perfectly comfortable. It's hard to hold Brayden and I get exhausted easily. Those are my only issues... so far.

EDIT: I failed the GD test yet again and have to take the 3 hour. :(

Remember how I said last month that he loves getting dressed? Uhm, no. This month he is all about being naked. He screams when we get him dressed and takes all of his clothes off. It's very frustrating. :(

Last month I also said this month I would not be able to keep up with his new words. I was right. He repeats  like a parrot, seriously. He has said his own name, many phrases and sentences.

He loves his pool more than anything. He says "I wanna go pool" all the time. Haha.

He has completely messed up his sleep schedule yet again. He stays up until 11 or 12 and sleeps usually till 9 or so. We can't just put him in his room all of a sudden this month because he learned to open doors. He just comes out of his room.

He was extremely attached to me this month. He had really bad separation anxiety when I left him with Rj or my family. :/

Needless to say, this month has been a pain. Haha. Oh well though. He's still an amazing kid.

FunBites review!

This little gadget below is from an amazing company called FunBites. This product cuts kids food into bite-sized fun shapes! You can use this product on sandwiches, pancakes, pizza, burgers, and even fruit! I peel apples, cut them off the core then, use the FunBites to cube the apple for Brayden. It's super fast and easy! Besides kid's food this product could also be used to prep party food!

The price is $12.99 for the one I chose (Cube it) or a heart shaped one (Love it). You also have the option of buying one of each for $22. I recommend doing that! You will absolutely love this product. You will use it all the time. I know I do! It makes lunch prep for Brayden simple.

FunBites is BPA free, made in the USA and can be hand washed/is top-shelf dishwasher safe.

It's been seen on Nickelodeon's Parents Connect, Real Simple, Parenting.com and CBS Morning News! Mommy MD Guide Seal of Approval. Rave reviews from over 250 Mommy Bloggers! They deserve it because they have an amazing product! You can find them on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

Step 1: Place FunBites® cutter on top of food.  Remove popper top and set to the side.
Step 2: Grab cutter handles on both sides, press down firmly and rock 5-6 times (doesn't usually take that much) to cut through the food.
Step 3: Lift the cutter up, insert popper top and pop out the bite-sized pieces! (Oops forgot to take a picture.)
Perfect Brayden size pieces. Buy a FunBites! You won't regret it!

Sleeping is getting more difficult. It's getting much easier since I religiously sleep with my Boppy body pillow now. We have decided to use the same theme we used for Brayden's room. We are adding in other touches though just for baby Lincoln. :) Weeks are just flying by!

Elmo's Magic Numbers DVD review and giveaway!

Brayden and I got to review a brand new DVD from Warner Home Video. They released Sesame Street: Elmo’s Magic Numbers on DVD on July 10, 2012 for $12.99.

“Up All Night”star Will Arnett makes special guest appearance in this hilarious
new DVD that promotes math.

About the DVD:

Now in its 42nd season, Sesame Street is the longest-running program in children’s television. The series has received more Emmy awards than any other show in television history (138), as well as a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award honoring the 40th year.

In this awesome DVD Elmo, Big Bird, Zoe and Rosita learn the importance behind counting, numbers and early math skills. This DVD contains two full-length Sesame Street episodes with over two hours of content including bonus footage, celebrity appearances and spoofs!

In Sesame Street: Elmo’s Magic Numbers, Will Arnett (Arrested Development, Up All Night) plays Max the Magician and visits Sesame Street to put on a spectacular magic show for Elmo and his friends.  As the crowd watches in amazement, Chris points out that Max’s magic is actually based on match concepts that everyone can learn. Each hilarious lesson highlights a different aspect of the subject, including addition and subtraction.  The episode also includes favorite segments such as “Elmo’s World,” “Murray Had A Little Lamb” and “Bert and Ernie’s Great Adventures.”

The second Sesame Street episode “Hat Day” features Elmo and Zoe’s wacky contest to see who can wear the most hats! During this episode, kids are encouraged to count, estimate and use multiples as they seek to crown a winner of the challenge. Parents can also get in on the action during a hilarious, counting-themed spoof of NBC’s hit show 30 Rock entitled “30 Rocks.” A 15-minute extra of “Elmo’s World” about hats is also included on the DVD.

As an added bonus, each unit contains a special offer from the Personalized Elmo Friends CD.  Kids will delight in hearing their name spoken and sung by Elmo in three free customized tracks. SO cool!

What we thought of the DVD:
We loved it! It entertained Brayden very well. He danced and even repeated a lot of the words and numbers he heard. Even though he doesn't know math yet he really enjoyed this DVD. I love having educational programs for him to watch. He will definitely be watching this more in the future and maybe even learn some numbers! This DVD would be absolutely perfect for a child 4 and up. They would be able to interact a little more than Brayden's age group. I also love that it comes with free music. That's great for kids of all ages! You should buy this DVD for your kids or maybe for another child's birthday. This would make a perfect gift. You can also enter our giveaway below!

Now, for the giveaway! Warner Home Video is allowing me to giveaway this DVD to one of my lucky fans!

Spellbinding Witch costume review! SexyCostumeDiscounters.com

I was contacted by a site called Sexy Costume Discounters. I am really excited to get to do a review for them. They have a great site!

Obviously THIS Halloween I will not be able to fit into this costume. Haha. I am pretty much counting myself out for anything involving Halloween since I am due with Lincoln on November 7th. So, if I go a week early it will be on Halloween. Next year, however, I really hope to fit into the costume I chose.

I chose the Spellbinding Witch costume. What a great price it was! It's a really pretty outfit and I love the colors. There are many more witch costumes on their site to choose from. I can't wait to wear it next year!

They have SO many different costumes to choose from and SO many categories. Seriously, just look at the sidebar. You will absolutely find the perfect outfit for you. They also have accessories, wigs and hats to go with their awesome costumes. They even have a lingerie section!

Besides the one I chose some of the costumes from my favorite categories are:

Dorothy (Wizard of Oz):
Dorothy, of course. They have quite a few options for her.
This is a little short but it's absolutely adorable. I wish I had the body to pull it off!
Scarecrow!

50's:
This is the cutest costume I have ever seen. I love it!

Fairytale:
Robin Hood. Love!
Alice in Wonderland.

I love that their selections are tasteful without being scandalous costumesThey have free shipping for orders over $35 when you use the code FSHIP35.

Boba carrier review and giveaway!

I am really excited about this review and giveaway! Boba Family has allowed me to do a review for one of their amazing baby/toddler carriers. I got their carrier in Kangaroo print. The Kangaroo carrier features a black cotton frame and inner lining with kangaroo print down the middle. It's SO cute. I love it!

The cost for this carrier is $125. This carrier has SO many amazing features I have never seen on another carrier.

Stats:
Weight Range: 7-45lbs
Waist Belt: 25”-58”
Fits Adults: 5’0”-6’3”
Buckles Used: Duraflex
Zippers Used: YKK
Shoulder strap length: 20”to 40”
Fabric: 100% cotton for the Classic Collection
Height of the body of the carrier: 15.7in Height of the waist belt: 5.1in
Made in China

The Boba Baby Carrier easily converts to an infant carrier without an insert. The booklet that comes with it has VERY detailed instructions on how to set it up for an infant. I am so excited to use this with Lincoln. The Boba Carrier 3G comes with a removable sleeping hood that is adjustable to fit growing babies. You attach the hood with snaps to the shoulder straps to keep the sun out of your little one’s face, or provide them a cover when taking a nap. The hood can also be zipped up into the zipper pouch when not in use.

Once your child is roughly 12- 15 lbs you can switch the carrier back to the full body carrier. It even has foot straps that attach to it for your toddler to rest their feet so they aren't dangling!

All the straps are very easily adjustable. The straps also tuck neatly so they aren't dangling down.

This carrier even has a strap holder so your purse/diaper bag can go there. That is amazing. There are also multiple pockets located on the carrier for your keys/other personal belongings.

I swear, Boba Family thought of everything! We love this carrier!

It's more vivid than this. My flash washed it out a little.
The sleep hood for an infant. :)

Enter for your chance to win a Boba Baby Carrier, and one of two Boba Wraps! All products can be seen at www.bobafamily.com. With Boba products it is easier than ever to enjoy Freedom Together as a family and Boba wants YOU to get a chance to use their products. 23 weeks pregnant!

I actually had a customer this week touch my stomach and say "awwww. When are you due?" I wear an apron (Cracker Barrel) so it hasn't really been obvious. Most customers probably just think I'm fat. LOL. I am still wearing normal pants with a belt (company rules). Mostly because I haven't found maternity work pants yet. I need to very soon. I told Rj I will have to call out of work some time because my pants don't fit. Haha. Well, that's pretty much it until next week!

Glow Bug Diapers review and giveaway!

Come November (unless God willing Brayden is potty trained) I will be diapering two kids. Oh my. So, I am  excited to get new cute diapers to use on both of our little ones. Glow Bug Diapers was extremely generous and sent me one of the cutest diapers in our collection. Brayden LOVES the print of this diaper. He brings it to me and say "baby" constantly.

Their diapers are sold in packages of 12 in stylish Girl’s prints, Boy’s prints and vibrant Spectrum colours. Each diaper includes 2 absorbent snap-in inserts. Made with NEW SlimDry™ fabric for the trimmest fit. Each set of 12 diapers are packaged in a free wet bag! Their packages are affordable at only $150 for 12 diapers, 24 inserts and a free coordinating wet bag! That is a great deal!

Their diaper designs are two sets of cross-over snaps through the waist band for a perfect fit around newborn tummies, double rows of snaps with square tabs for a trim fit through the hip, four size settings fitting babies from birth through potty training (7lbs-35lbs), coordinating coloured snaps for every print, waterproof flaps in the front and the back of each diaper to prevent leaks, double gusset through the leg for an extra barrier of protection, NEW SlimDry™ fabric keeps baby’s skin dry without the bulk, two openings in the pocket makes it easier to get the absorbent inset in and out, and snap-in inserts to keep it in place while baby’s on the move.

I LOVE the features of this diapers. My favorite parts about this diaper are how small is gets, how trim it is, the prints, and how absorbent it is! Brayden has worn this diaper many times now with NO leaks! This is an amazing diaper and I would recommend them to anyone!

You can find them on Facebook and Twitter!

This is the smallest setting (except I didn't crossover the top all the way).
This is how I put the inserts for Brayden but I stuff the pocket.
All the way out like Brayden wears diapers.
Look how trim!

Glow Bug Diapers is generous enough to offer a diaper to one of my readers! The winner can choose if they would like a girl's, boy's or gender neutral diaper. Please don't lie about the entries that you do. I do confirm the winning entries. Thank you!
