What I thought: I love this set. I have been using it over a month now. It has made my face feel tighter, soft and exfoliated. You can feel the process from the very beginning. The Glycolic Acid (a natural concentrated ingredient) in the exfoliate, mixed with Lactic Acid is activated with a few drops of water. You message it into your face and leave it on for 1-3 minutes. It then, activate your body's natural skin care process of producing Collagen and Elastin so you have tighter and firmer skin. The hydrate is a tiny bit greasy but it has oil in it so, I understand. It's really only like that if you use a little too much. A little goes a long way! Make sure you rub it in and only use a few drops. These products have lasted me over a month and I have plenty left! It's an amazing, gentle and effective formula! As always, I love the Natural Skin Shop's natural ingredients. They don't skimp. They use great, quality, safe, natural and effective ingredients. I can't tell everyone enough. I truly love this shop and recommend it!

Hugo the happy starfish: The Last Bully by Suzy Liebermann review!

We got the chance to review another HUGO the happy starfish book. I was really excited! (Read our last review here.) This time we received "The Last Bully".

About Hugo: Hugo is a little starfish with a BIG HEART. His passion is to make others happy but he still has many things to learn. Fortunately he has more than just a big heart, he also has a CURIOUS MIND. Through his adventures, Hugo learns many valuable lessons of character, life skills, and ecological alertness, all against the colorful backdrop of a magical underwater world and mystical islands. Believing that happiness can be learned, feelings can be understood, and that building character based on a positive attitude leads to a happy, content, successful and confident human being, Suzy Liebermann has written this charming series of children’s books to help educate children about their feelings, their attitudes, their choices, and the consequences that follow. In Hugo, children, parents, and educators will discover a lovable and engaging role model.

About the author: Suzy Liebermann is a native of Germany and former resident of the Dominican Republic, Mexico, the Islands of the Bahamas and Switzerland. She is now living in the USA. She has traveled the world in pursuit of language, art, and culture. Having found it, she now shares it with the world’s teachers, parents, and children through educational literature. Leveraging her decades of global experience teaching in German, Spanish, French, and English with a degree in foreign language translation and a master’s degree in business management and international business, she launched Happy Language Kids Publications in 2010 as an interactive language learning program for children and their young-at-heart elders. She has always had a love for teaching and helping others. Being able to share the wisdom of the right attitude through her stories gave her life a new goal to make a difference in the world. She wants to help others be happy and I think that is really amazing!

About this book: Come on a sea adventure with HUGO THE HAPPY STARFISH as he finds out that HAPPINESS STARTS WITH RESPECT. THE LAST BULLY is a great tale to teach a lesson about one of the biggest issues around. The story contains a great educational lesson about BULLYING which parents will love while children will be intrigued by the inspiring characters and power that teamwork can have. In Hugo, children, parents, and educators will discover a lovable and engaging role model with whom they can identify. The story consists of 27 gorgeous illustrations showing a colorful and magical underwater world. Children will laugh at the delightful characters, hold their breaths in suspense and love to read this story over and over. The book is suitable as a read aloud book for preschoolers or a self-read book for older children. The book comes with a number of worksheets which are downloadable at no cost on our website. It also offers a number of Spanish words as an introduction to the Spanish language.

What we thought: We love this book. Just like the other book, it has bright, colorful illustrations, and a good positive message. My kids are not in school but I've learned through talking to other moms in my area that bullying is still a big things in school. I will never understand why children feel the need to be mean to other children. I know I was picked on a lot up until high school.

Even Brayden has already been picked on at parks by bigger kids. We recently went to the zoo and were at the kiddie area. There was an older child (probably 8-10ish). Brayden started crossing a bridge to go to a playhouse. The kid told him "if you come in here I'm going to spit on you." My sister heard, went up there and told him this is a free country. She told him he shouldn't pick on little kids. The kid also kept scaring/hurting his sister the whole time. A few minutes later we lost track of Brayden. I was feeding Lincoln so Kristy went to look for him. The play area is in the air like a tree house type thing. Kristy went up there only to find that child was DRAGGING Brayden by his arm. Brayden started screaming "no" and trying to sit down. Kristy brought him back down and she just started crying. She imagined all the bad things this older child could have done to him. I went up to the kid's mom and told him what was going on. She said "omg, what did he do?" before I even told her. I firmly believe she and her family have not taught that kid the effects of his bullying. Later we saw them still at the zoo. I would NOT let my kid continue to have fun if he was doing stuff like that. It's not fair for children to have to deal with it. It's NOT okay.

In this book, Hugo the Happy Starfish sees his friend Clooney Clownfish being bullied by Bandit the Barracuda. Hugo could hear Bandit taunting Clooney, calling him nerdy and big eyes with small fins and green skin. Clooney was crying and Hugo told him to ignore his disrespectful behavior. Bandit felt like he was the biggest fish in the ocean and had the right to act that way. Hugo and Clooney decided to form an Anti Bully Club. Someone had to stand up to the bullies of the sea world. They wanted the bullies know that what goes around comes around. There are always a bigger fish in the ocean. We really love this book. It teaches children respect for others and that being different is okay. It teaches them that the best way to deal with bullies is to tell someone about it. The lessons are perfect for children. I also really like that Suzy includes introduction to Spanish in this book.

Suzy has written Hugo books on happiness, self esteem, and much more! We recommend this series to everyone! They are great reads for all children. We have quite a few on the Kindle app on my phone now. You can find books, shirts, and much more Hugo stuff in the store. The books are around $15.95. You can also find the books on Amazon for your Kindle for under $6. What a great deal! Follow Hugo on Facebook for all news on Hugo!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Lincoln is 6 months old!

HOLY COW. Half a year has gone by already?!? Wow. :(

Birth: 10 pounds 4.5 ounces and 21 1/2 inches
1 month: 13 pounds and 22 inches
2 months old: 16 pounds 8 ounces and 23 inches
3 months old: 18 pounds and 24 1/2 inches
4 months old: 19 pounds 4 ounces and 26 inches
5 months old: 20 pounds and 26 1/2 inches
6 months old: 21 pounds 12 ounces and 27 inches

This month Lincoln:

got his first tooth at 5 months and 1 week

barely eats baby food (I try but he spits most of it out)

can sit very well

scoots forward, backwards and all around but doesn't roll much

only flipped from belly to back a few times

wears 12-24 month old clothing, size 3 shoes

wearing size 4 diapers

went in the pool for the first time (loved it!)

still not a big baby food fan but I am going to keep on trying

the doctor said he drinks too much formula at a time and that's why he spits up (so, we have to give him less formula more often with baby food between if he's hungry)

switched him recently to a convertible car seat (SO MUCH EASIER)

sat in the grocery cart for the first time (and second, third and fourth ;))

LOVES his big brother SO MUCH (when B isn't steals his toys causing him to fall over... OI...)

smiles and giggles at anyone who talks to him

SUCH a happy baby

He is an absolute joy and so freaking cute. ;)

(Obviously need to figure out how to work my new camera better. :/)
