Wacka Doodle Books review!

"A Child Learns to Read on Someone’s Lap"

"To give your child a book is to give them the world"

I absolutely agree. Brayden gets read to everyday. He loves being read to, loves looking at books, and loves telling you what the objects in the books are. I want Lincoln to be the same way. Brayden didn't have many plush books. He mostly had small board books that he chewed/messed up when he was younger. I was looking online and found a company called Wacka Doodle Books. Their website is designed to help family and friends choose quality children's books that are pre-screened by reading specialists for a "head start on learning". My absolute FAVORITE thing about their site is you can set up a registry so everyone can see what books your child wants. I love that! It would be great to set up for birthdays, baby showers or Christmas/holidays. I am setting one up for Linc's first birthday. They have books for newborns up to young adults. Something for everyone! They sent me one of their amazing gift baskets. I was sent the "squish" basket. They have so many different baskets that are perfect for baby shower gifts! The baskets start at $45 and there are many to choose from. Their books are around $4.99 and up. Great prices!

Brayden loved looking at this book in the bath. He liked how shiny the fins are. I like the ape wash mitt but I do wish it was thicker. I think for the amount of cost for the basket, it was a little thin. I do like it and use it to wash Lincoln. He usually coos at the ape. Haha.
I love the Taggie book. It shows every animal awake and asleep. Plus, the book is extremely soft and has ribbons for Lincoln to touch when he gets older. The Fuzzy Bee book crinkles and has lots of fun textures for infants to explore.
I use the basket to hold Linc's books in his room right now until he gets much more.

We are really impressed by Wacka Doodle Books. I think everyone should go on there right now, browse, buy, make a registry and enjoy reading to your kids! Their books are affordable and there are A TON to choose from!

You can find them on Facebook and Twitter.

Sunday Snapshot: Day out with the boys

Thursday, Rj and I took both of the boys out all day. We went to breakfast, a park, an indoor inflatable center, and lunch. It was tons of fun and Brayden conquered more fears. He is getting so brave!

Swinging all by himself.

He was saying "mommy, help me". He was afraid of the bounce houses, at first.

He didn't go up and down the slide in these pictures. He was afraid. Rj just picked him up and slide him down. They didn't go up to the top or anything until later.
He held his hand the first time and soon after he was climbing up by himself. This slide went to the roof. It was at least 25 feet.

I love this photo!

My Little Legs review!

My Little Legs is an awesome company that makes baby/toddler leg warmers in over a hundred different designs! They also make swaddle blankets, hats, headbands, and so much more! We received four pairs of leg warmers to try. I love using the leg warmers on Lincoln and Brayden. They make for quick diaper changes and they keep their legs warm. They are great to use for potty training. Leg warmers can also be used as arm warmers. You can keep them in your diaper bag in case your kid gets a little cold or they can wear them and remove them when they get too warm. They are one size so they fit both Brayden and Lincoln perfectly! They are also an amazing price at $7.50.

Stats on the leg warmers:
Composition: 80% Cotton, 15% Polyester, 5% Spandex
Length: 12 inches
One Size
Approximate Fit:
Newborn to age 4- fits to the top of the thigh
Age 4 to 8- fits above the knee
Age 10- small adults- fits just below the knee or can be used for arms
***sizing recommendations are based on average sizes for age groups.***

They sent us the following leg warmers: Everett, St. Patrick's Day Argyle, Skulls (part of the Rockin Boy set), and Little Brother. First off, I LOVE all the patterns they sent me. The leg warmers are soft, stretchy and so adorable on both of our boys! You will absolutely be seeing the St. Patrick's Day leg warmers in a St. Patty's post in the future. They are my favorite ones we received.  love looking at their site. They have SO MANY cute leg warmers. I do wish they had it to where you could narrow it done to boys or girls. It would just be easier since I have two boys and no girls. Other than that, I love their site and their products!

Mickey and skulls go together, right? ;)

They have a great deal on their site where the more you buy the bigger the discount. If you buy $75 worth of stuff you get 50% off your order. Amazing! You can find them on Facebook!

Look for an upcoming giveaway on my blog for My Little Legs! $50 gift certificate!

Wordless(ish) Wednesday: Sick and sleepy

Brayden's sick. His nose has been running for days. He really wasn't feeling good last night so he slept in our bed. He spun around at one point and ended up sleeping in the position below:

HAHA. I moved his feet after I took the photo. ;)

Baby Legs review!

This is my second review (OMG. LOOK AT HOW ADORABLE BRAYDEN WAS IN THAT POST.) for Baby Legs. Baby Legs are leg warmers invented by a mom to keep her daughter's legs warm. Brayden has a few pairs that I have passed onto Lincoln. I put in my last review that we were going to start potty training Brayden "soon". That was almost a year ago and he was not ready at all. He is showing all of the signs now. We bought underwear, little treats and a potty chart. We are going to start really trying tomorrow. The leggings will come in handy for potty training although he does know how to pull down his pants because he can focus on just pulling down underwear. I love using the leg warmers on Lincoln. They make for quick diaper changes and they keep his legs warm. Baby Legs can also be used as arm warmers. You can keep them in your diaper bag in case your kid gets a little cold or they can wear them and remove them when they get too warm.

We were sent Edward leg warmers, stars leg warmers ( I couldn't find them on their site), cars socks (also couldn't find on their site) and Bonto Baby socks.

I got Lincoln socks in size 12-24 months. He is 2 months old. Either Baby Legs socks run small or my kids have huge feet. Brayden only wore his 12-24 month Baby Legs socks once and when I washed them they were too small. He was 16 months old at the time and wore a size size 5/6 shoes.

 He loves his Baby Legs!
These are the Edward ones. They are my favorite!
Sporting his stars leg warmers and cooing at Grandma.

I absolutely love Baby Legs. They are very well made, durable and the socks have grippers on the bottom so, your little one won't slip! They have SO MANY different patterns and colors to choose from. You could easily match them with any outfit! They are very reasonably priced at $12 for leg warmers and $10 for socks. I was looking through their clearance section. There are at least 10 things I want to buy and I think I will! They have $5.99 flat rate shipping for no matter how much you buy. That is awesome!

You can find them on FacebookTwitter and Pinterest!
